Black Tulip sessions in front of Kat Von D's Mansion  are unlike any other....beautiful, rare, and a little unpredictable. Bloom timing is determined by nature, not a calendar, with peak conditions typically lasting just a handful of days. Announcements often come only days in advance, and sessions are scheduled on a weekday based on weather and field conditions. Some years bring challenges like flooding or limited access, while others draw large crowds due to growing attention and media coverage. Despite the uncertainty, the results are always breathtaking and well worth it. I’ve photographed these blooms for the past three years, and each season has been completely unique.
