BLACK TULIP SESSIONS Step into a fleeting moment that is impossible to recreate. These Black Tulip sessions are rare and take place in front of the mansion of Kat Von D, who graciously allows photographers to capture images in front of her iconic black tulip fields in Vevay, Indiana. The bloom is entirely dictated by nature. Timing is unpredictable and typically announced only a few days before peak conditions. Once bloom reaches its height, the window is short and often lasts only a handful of days. Sessions will be scheduled on a weekday to avoid heavy crowds, which have increased significantly in recent years due to media coverage and growing interest. Weather and field conditions may affect access, and in rare cases, travel may not be possible. Rain will not cancel sessions, it enhances them. Editing will reflect the artistic style shown in the sample images, with rich tones and a painterly, fine art finish. Price includes the session, travel time (this is a 2.5 hour round trip from my home) my photography and editing time, my expertise and final delivery of selected digital images. The session is short due to the limited area to shoot and crowds, but rest assured, I capture a lot in that short time. In the event of cancellation, the retainer will not be refunded, as your reservation secures a highly limited time slot that could have been offered to another client.
